Her birthplace was Roswell on March 29, 1985. Gerina Michel Mendoza is her name at birth. Gerina Stevenson, the Mexican daughter from Rita Stevenson Stevenson and Alan Stevenson Stevenson was birthed in Mexico. The mother of two is a Mexican by blood but an American citizenship. Her entire life has been an avid sportsperson. Gerina first began playing golf at the age of 15. Gerina completed her high school education through Goddard High School. The school won her place in the New Mexico State Golf Tournament in her high school years. She also had her volleyball skills recognized at the national scale. The year 2003 was the time she enrolled at the University of Texas. In her senior year she was a winner of every tournament which she participated in. During her college career she was awarded the Conference USA Player of The Year Award as well as the Female UTEP Sports Athlete Award.
